About this Collection
This collection continues the 2021 Wonder Woman series, bringing together issues #7-12 of the run. The story arc, titled 'Ares Rising,' sees Diana facing the return of the God of War, Ares, as he emerges from a long absence with a new and dangerous plan that threatens both the mortal and divine worlds. Written by Michael W. Conrad and Becky Cloonan, with art by various artists, this volume deepens the exploration of Diana's connection to the gods and her role as a warrior for peace.
In "Worst Moments," Wonder Woman grapples with the aftermath of her violent actions against the mob and haunting visions of the lost Themyscira, seeking guidance from Superman—only to discover her growing instability might not be her own. Written by Christopher Priest and brought to life with striking visuals by John Ross, Ray Kryssing, and Patricia Mulvihill, this issue dives into the psychological toll of legacy and identity. Brian Bolland’s evocative cover captures the weight of her inner turmoil.
