Forced to land for repairs in the tyrannical city of Xeros, Tara, Captain Robin, and Malo become entangled in a desperate struggle when they witness the despot Bharbon's cruelty firsthand—and learn that a young woman named Myrene is being forced into marriage with the tyrant to save her father's life. The three space rovers must devise a cunning plan to infiltrate the palace and stop the wedding, before Bharbon's executioners close in on them all.
Brad Spencer, the brilliant scientist known as Wonderman, has created Roboroy—a mechanically constructed human being with an indestructible elastic body and a radioactive uranium brain capable of genuine thought. When Wonderman takes his new creation and his assistant Carol to Venus for a training expedition, they discover a woman trapped in a glass cocoon and are captured by the underground civilization of Gooree, ruled by the seemingly benevolent Tay-Gar. Tay-Gar strikes a bargain: Wonderman will build robots to replace his enslaved workforce—but hidden agendas and questions about the true cost of this agreement begin to surface.
Briane the Silver Knight, guardian of England clad in enchanted armor, rides out with his fellow knights to collect overdue taxes from the treacherous Baron Giles—only to discover the nobleman plotting something far darker than mere rebellion. Desperate and humiliated, Giles turns to the sorcerer Black Barton for a terrible power: the curse of the werewolf, a night-beast whose fangs deal death within hours, to strike against King Arthur's castle itself. As Briane camps in a gathering storm, unaware of the dark magic being summoned, the stage is set for a siege that will test the Silver Knight's enchanted armor and courage against forces beyond the mortal realm.
Jill Trent and her partner Daisy stumble onto a dangerous gang using a stolen experimental drug—optomide—to pull off high-value heists by tampering with drivers' vision, and the pair must use their scientific know-how to outsmart the criminals before the next job goes down. With only laundry marks and a trucking company connection to go on, the two criminologists close in on the gang's hideout, where a clever bit of chemistry becomes their ticket to turning the tables.
