Forced to land for repairs in the tyrannical city of Xeros, Tara, Captain Robin, and Malo become entangled in a desperate struggle when they witness the despot Bharbon's cruelty firsthand—and learn that a young woman named Myrene is being forced into marriage with the tyrant to save her father's life. The three space rovers must devise a cunning plan to infiltrate the palace and stop the wedding, before Bharbon's executioners close in on them all.
