Wolverine: The Death of Wolverine #[nn]
In "The Man in the Pit," Wolverine’s body lies lifeless, his soul mysteriously stranded in limbo after a battle with the angel of death, Lazaer. With Dr. Strange racing to uncover why Logan’s spirit won’t return, the two navigate the surreal afterlife, where every death has left a mark—and this time, the X-Man’s soul may have finally lost the fight. Written by Marc Guggenheim and illustrated with striking intensity by Howard Chaykin, whose cover pencils and inks capture the haunting weight of the moment, this 2008 issue is a pivotal, emotionally charged chapter in Wolverine’s mythos.
