Wolverine is on a date with the curator of the Museum of Cultural History when his new lady love gets a call that workers on a museum expansion have broken through an underground tunnel and fallen in. Wolverine and Caley go to the rescue but find the tunnel inhabited by a creature named Revelation who has been awakened from a complex containment unit. Caley falls sick and quickly dies as a mysterious plague begins to affect people on the street. The Punisher is summoned by the Council of Thrones who are debating whether he should be allowed to keep his new angelic powers.
