“Our War Part 1”

In "Our War Part 1," Daniel Way and Steve Dillon deliver a high-stakes clash as Deadpool’s long-awaited showdown with Daken is interrupted by a sudden, brutal turn—Wolverine, pulled from the water, must face his son in a fight that’s as personal as it is deadly. With the Winter Soldier’s precise strike disabling Daken’s healing factor, the true nature of Wolverine’s plan begins to unfold, setting the stage for a confrontation that’s as much about legacy as it is survival. The cover by Greg Land and Jay Leisten captures the intensity of the moment, while Dillon’s dynamic art and Matt Milla’s vivid colors bring the chaos to life.

Deadpool takes umbrage with the fact that, after an extraordinarily long fight sequence (it took three full issues, after all), Daken shows up and tries to drown Wolverine before 'Pool gets the chance to do so. During the ensuing fight sequence between the merc with a mouth and Logan's son, Wolvie is extracted from the water and wakes up. Daken takes out DP and then turns on Wolverine. He is shot, however, by the Winter Soldier with a carbonadium bullet that negates his healing factor. This was, of course, Wolverine's master plan all along--to stop his son without killing him.
