Wolverine #12
In "Covenant (1)", Wolverine—still grappling with fragmented memories of Melita after Dr. Rot's interference—finds his quiet moment shattered by the sudden arrival of Vanessa. She warns him that the Dreaming Maiden has awakened, and the secretive Covenant is hunting her for sinister ends. His search leads him to Elsa Bloddstone, a fierce tracker with her own agenda, but when Elsa learns Wolvie isn’t here to kill, she doesn’t hesitate—she shoots him in the face and vanishes. Written by Cullen Bunn and Nicole Duclos, with art by Paul Pelletier and inks by Dave Meikis, this issue blends personal stakes with a growing mystery, all rendered in bold colors by Rain Beredo and sharp lettering by Laurence Hingray and Christophe Semal. The cover by Pasqual Ferry captures the tension with striking intensity.
