“Fugitive Part 2 of 3”

In "Fugitive Part 2 of 3," Sara faces a desperate rescue as she pulls Patrick from the grasp of a monstrous assailant, only to be met with his refusal to accept healing from the Witchblade. With the trail leading to Ellis Island, the duo uncovers the truth behind Michael Andrews—a U.S. super soldier hunted by the very agency that made him. As FBI agents Carstens and McGuinn arrive, their sudden powers signal a dangerous turn, forcing Sara to confront both the past and the growing threat of those who seek the Witchblade’s power. Written by Ron Marz and illustrated by Michael Choi, with inks by Sal Regla and colors by Brian Buccellato and Tyson Wengler, the issue’s cover by Terry Dodson and Rachel Dodson captures the tension of a story where loyalty and identity are under siege.

Sara rescues Patrick from the giant man-monster who is killing him. As the creature runs off, Patrick refuses to let Sara heal him with the Witchblade. The pair track down Michael Andrews to Ellis Island where he reveals his origins as a U.S. super soldier who is running and hiding from the folks who created him. Carstens and McGuinn, the FBI agents on the case, show up and manifest powers as they demand that Michael give himself up and that Sara give them the Witchblade.
