“The Rudiments of Wisdom Part One: The Day the Fairies Came Out”

In "The Rudiments of Wisdom Part One: The Day the Fairies Came Out," Marvel’s Wisdom #1 launches a bold new series with writer Paul Cornell and artist Trevor Hairsine, whose dynamic visuals bring the clash between myth and modernity to life. When the fairies of Otherworld begin invading England, MI-13’s unlikely team—featuring the fairy Tink, the Lennon-obsessed Skrull John, the aging super soldier Sid Ridley, and clairsentient Maureen Raven—must journey into the realm of Otherland and negotiate a fragile peace with Oberon, a deal that will bind Pete Widom to Tink in a union both unexpected and pivotal. The cover by Trevor Hairsine and Paul Neary captures the surreal tension of this high-stakes encounter, setting the stage for a story where wisdom isn’t just learned—it’s earned.

When the fairies of Otherworld begin to cross over into the real world and attack the inhabitants of England, the government calls in Pete Widom and his team from MI-13 composed of Tink (a fairy herself), John the Skrull (who thinks he is former Beatle, John Lennon), Sid Ridley (aging super soldier) and Maureen Raven (powerful clairsentient). The team invades Otherland and strike a deal with Oberon to keep him from further attacking the real world--a deal that involves Pete marrying his daughter, Tink.
