Wings Comics #56

Clipper Kirk, a Navy ace, leads a bomber squadron on a secret mission over China, but when his plane is shot down, he and his crew become prisoners of a Japanese war camp intent on using their captured aircraft for propaganda. With a fellow pilot's help, Kirk escapes to find a village radio and call in an airstrike—but the Japanese commander orders the execution of prisoners in the town square as the American planes close in. It's a race against time as Kirk fights to save his men before the enemy carries out their brutal threat.
