Wings Comics #19 is an anthology issue featuring multiple aviation-themed stories. "Skull Squad," written by Ace Atkins, follows a commando unit as they raid a Nazi airdrome while keeping German forces occupied, with members including Jimmy, Randy, and others tasked with a dangerous cross-channel mission. "Clipper Kirk" appears in the issue alongside other features. A "Tips" section educates readers on Japanese military aircraft, including the Navy Fighter Type 96 and Army Reconnaissance Type 14. The issue concludes with action involving Clipper Kirk and Nazi forces, including a prison scenario and combat sequences set in European locations.

Yankee ferry pilot Jack Winston is branded a pacifist coward when he refuses active service, earning the scorn of his fellow pilots—but when a Nazi submarine attacks a British convoy, he's forced to prove what his conscience is truly made of. Captured and imprisoned, Winston finds a chance for escape alongside fellow pilot Heatherley and seaman Boorman, but his refusal to wage unnecessary violence puts him at odds with his desperate companions.
