What unfolds is a nail-biting race through enemy territory as the two pilots navigate crashes, Nazi patrols, and a sabotage operation, all while their teammates wait in the dark, ready to pull them out if they can make it back alive.
This is a two-story Wings Comics #12 submission. The first item, "Brewster Buffalo," is technical aircraft specification data with no narrative plot to synopsis. The second story, "Skull Squad" by Ace Atkins, is a complete adventure narrative. For "Brewster Buffalo": SKIP For "Skull Squad": Three RAF bomber pilots—Jimmy Jones, Kent Douglas, and Sandy Macgregor—receive orders to rescue a British agent from an enemy prison camp, but the mission quickly reveals itself as an elaborate trap orchestrated by Nazi intelligence. As they infiltrate the castle, overcome guards, and secure their target, they must outrun enemy fighters, weather a fierce storm, and contend with a desperate Nazi officer who attempts sabotage from within their own plane. The Skull Squad races toward home and their next perilous assignment.
Clipper Kirk is assigned to escort a convoy carrying Baron Von Mueller, whose anti-Nazi broadcasts are vital propaganda in Germany, but when German aircraft attack and the transport ship mysteriously abandons the formation, Kirk must pursue a Nazi submarine to rescue the Baron before German bombers strike the fleet. With Von Mueller's help, Kirk fights his way through the U-boat and races back to the skies to defend the convoy from enemy bombers and save the merchant ships from destruction.
