While an army of heroes try to keep Helspont from capturing a Kherubim space ship, Defile sneaks aboard to take it for himself with only Nautika, Sunburst and Grifter standing in his way. The ship is damaged during the battle and, with the threat of a devastating explosion looming, the WildC.A.T.S (minus Spartan and Grifter) fly the ship into space and apparently sacrifice themselves to save the rest of the good guys.
