Wild Bill Hickok rides into Indian territory to confront a Sioux ambush. The issue also contains "Dunc Blackburn," a story set in 1877 where a road agent plans to rob gold coaches traveling from the Black Hills to Deadwood, positioning himself at a remote toll station to intercept the shipments. An additional story follows a woman named Jane who, after arriving at Fort Bridger, is chosen to become a model soldier and participates in cavalry operations against a Sioux war party in the Black Hills, ultimately helping to repel their attack.
