Wild Bill Hickok #1

Wild Bill Hickok confronts Ranger O'Brien, who has accused him of corruption and demands his resignation; Hickok refuses and suggests O'Brien is merely trying to make himself look good. When O'Brien and his men attempt to arrest Hickok without proper cause, Hickok escapes on horseback heading south, determined to recover stolen gold from Joe Quick's gang before O'Brien can make an arrest and claim credit for the recovery. Hickok pursues Quick and his gang across the territory, racing against time to intercept them before O'Brien's posse catches up to him.
