Apocalypse is unable to cure Professor X of Stryfe's technovirus and he dies. On the moon, Stryfe is blasted by Xavier's death scream which causes him to accidentally drop the force bubble keeping Cyclops and Jean alive so they die too. The X-Men attack Apocalypse and he kills many of them. Forge gathers the surviving mutants and makes them all X-Men. They fly to the moon where Stryfe and Apocalypse are fighting over a time vortex machine. Realizing Cable and the X-Men are the closest thing he has left of a family, Stryfe sacrifices himself to destroy Apocalypse.
