In Wetworks #19, Pilgrim returns home after wandering through alternate dimensions, only to find her brother Blackbird now part of the team—though his true nature remains hidden. With the child they were sent to protect still alive, the team races back into danger, facing the Dopplers as secrets unravel: Blackbird’s werewolf curse is confirmed, Pilgrim’s own transformation is hinted at, and the truth behind the Jester’s golden shell is revealed. Written by Francis Takenaga and illustrated by Cedric Nocon with inks by Chuck Gibson, the issue’s cover by Nocon and Gibson captures the tension of a mission that’s far from over.

Pilgrim finally finds her way home after being lost in a number of alternate dimensions and is happy to see that her brother, Blackbird, is now a member of Wetworks. Waering tells the team that the child they were sent to protect last issue is still alive and they head out once again to save him from the Dopplers. During the ensuing battle, the team learns that Blackbird is a werewolf, as is Pilgrim (even though she doesn't know it). It is also confirmed that there is no longer a body under Jester's golden skin. Dane and Mother-One figure out who created the Dopplers.
