"The Strange Lands" features a Western Hero rescue mission at a burning ranch house, where he must save the sheriff trapped inside the flames. Monte Hale is then revealed to have robbed a ghost bandit gang, leading to a gunfight with his pardner in pursuit of the thieves. A separate story involves Richie being beaten and left for dead, with Tom discovering him and planning to recover stolen money from those responsible, though Richie later reveals the robbery story to be false when confronted by his boss.
