Western Hero #100

This issue is an anthology featuring several Western stories. The lead feature "Oh! Doctor!" stars Gabby Hayes as a fearless bronco buster at the Bar Nothing Ranch who is renowned for never being thrown from a horse, depicted performing an acrobatic stunt atop a bucking bronco. Another story involves Slim Carson investigating a jewel robbery near Monterey, during which Carson is shot and wounded while transporting stolen gems across the border in a pack train; the outlaws had planted the jewels in Carrido's cargo to smuggle them past customs, but Carson uncovers the scheme with help from a wounded guide. The issue also includes features on western stars Tex Ritter, Tom Mix, and Monte Hale.
