Carter's younger brother Lincoln, a Federal marshal. arrives in town just in time to save Carter from being kidnapped. Several prominent men in town have already gone missing, and Lincoln and the Ghost Rider separately investigate. The kidnapper is discovered holding the victims in an abandoned mine, but during the rescue the mine collapses and Ghost Rider is buried in the debris. Before he dies, Carter passes his heroic legacy to his brother.
