Carter is taking the injured Natalie to Denver for treatment when they are attacked by Hurricane. The villain discovers that Carter is actually the Ghost Rider, and in their ensuing scuffle, he believes that he has killed the hero. Later, when the Ghost Rider reappears, the terrified Hurricane accidentally runs off a cliff and dies.
