In "Indian Attack," Tod Morgan’s reputation as a liar precedes him, making his warnings about a Comanche raid fall on deaf ears—despite the fact that this time, he’s telling the truth. When he finally rides into the fort with news of an impending attack, the Comanches are after him alone, not the settlement, and their deadly mission ends with his death, leaving the fort unharmed.
