"Black Jack's Wooden Dream" follows a U.S. Marshal's pursuit of the wanted outlaw Black Jack Tangue, who is being hunted across every state in the West. "The Yogi of Yucca Flat" features a mysterious yogi character who arrives at a border town settlement during raids by the Mexican bandit Manolo, becoming a strange visitor to the roughhouse community. "Dakota Drum Trap" depicts a Dakota Indian village facing a flood threat, with a young chief's son clutching a drum and attempting to save the tribe's valuable ponies during the crisis. The issue also includes the cover story "Where the Gun Was Law" involving card games and gunfights among frontier characters.
