The series ran continuously from October 1961 through September 1974, making it one of Harvey's longest-lived Wendy vehicles and a durable showcase for the Silver Age house style that Warren Kremer had codified. Its anthology structure — pairing Wendy lead stories with Casper, the Ghostly Trio, and Spooky back-ups — established the template that Harvey's giant-size children's titles would follow for more than a decade.
In "Witch Weevil's Revenge [Part One]," Wendy finds herself transformed into an evil witch after Witch Weevil blames her for flowers planted in Dismal Swamp—though it was actually Casper who did it. With her reputation in ruins and her appearance twisted by magic, Wendy must clear her name before the spell takes hold. Warren Kremer handles both the interior art and the cover, bringing the whimsical yet eerie tone of Harvey’s 1961 classic to life in a 25-cent comic.
Witch Weevil, furious that Wendy planted flowers in Dismal Swamp, turns her into a wicked-looking witch with a spell—though it was really Gus Gopher who planted the blooms. Now, with the help of Professor Know-It-Owl, the boy and his dog set out to undo the curse before the swamp’s magic takes hold.
In "The Magic Trick [Part Three]," Witch Weevil, Snowman, and King Yello find themselves caught in a final, clever game of wits as Wendy and Casper race to outsmart the witch and break her spell—before her magic takes hold for good.

Wendy the Good Little Witch had first appeared as a back-up feature in Casper the Friendly Ghost #20 (May 1954), created by artist Steve Mufatti, and was later tested in Harvey Hits beginning with issue #7 before earning her own title in August 1960. Wendy Witch World #1 followed in October 1961, published by Harvey Picture Magazines Inc. under the Giant Size Harvey Comics imprint, with Sid Jacobson serving as actual editor (Leon Harvey received the credited editorial line). Cover art and significant interior work were handled by Warren Kremer — Harvey's dominant house artist and art editor for 35 years — with Howard Post also contributing interior stories, a creative partnership that would define much of the series' run.
