"Monsters from Outer Space" depicts a spaceship crew discovering an alien sphere and bomb aboard their vessel; despite their attempts to unload it before the door closes, a massive explosion occurs, though the crew keeps the incident secret to prevent panic. Another story features a supernatural encounter in a café where a mysterious woman and a man named François engage in a deadly struggle over a young girl, with the man ultimately murdered and disposed of in the sewers. "The Place on the Hill" follows artist Jed Gibbons as he arrives at an accused cursed location recommended by city dweller Swanson, only to encounter ghostly apparitions haunting the rambling old house.
Two atomic bomb project workers stumble upon a mysterious metallic craft near Seattle and venture inside—only to find themselves trapped and rocketing into space toward an asteroid that's revealed to be something far more sinister: a ship piloted by an alien explorer from the planet Xyron bent on conquest. With Earth in the crosshairs and no apparent way to stop the being controlling an entire crew of mechanical servants, the two men must find a way to prevent an invasion before the alien can complete his mission.
When a French businessman is wrongly convicted and executed based on an American importer's false testimony, his dying brother swears a supernatural oath of vengeance—one that reaches across the Atlantic to haunt the guilty man's innocent daughters. As the family is stalked by the phantom shadow of a guillotine and menacing supernatural forces close in, Rosemary and Celia must confront the dark secret their father kept hidden and the price of his sins.
A desperate man fresh from prison seeks out a mysterious shopkeeper who traffics in supernatural vengeance, paying handsomely to settle scores with the two people who framed him years ago. What unfolds is a tale of ghostly retribution set across shadowy European locales—but the man soon discovers that revenge purchased from such dark sources carries a price far steeper than gold. In "Vengeance Trail," the hunter becomes the hunted when his own victims return to collect what they're owed.
Swanson dismisses the warnings of his new neighbors and moves into the secluded house on the hill—an artist seeking inspiration—only to discover that the local legends about witch stones and dark rituals have more than superstition behind them. When his hired man Henry Drew proves to be something far stranger, and a visiting friend meets a terrible fate during a midnight confrontation with hooded figures, Swanson must act decisively before another dawn breaks.
