“Carnival of Terror”

In "Carnival of Terror," art painter Dwight spirals into a feline frenzy, his mind twisted by his obsession with cats—literally transforming in eerie, partial ways. When his girlfriend tries to calm him by mimicking a cat, the sight snaps him back to reality, leaving him shaken and vowing to destroy every cat painting he's ever made. A surreal, eerie tale from 1952, this issue stands out for its strange, dreamlike horror and the chilling moment when art consumes the artist. Cover by typeset.

Baron Hauser posesses a magic statue of himself containing his soul and drawing all evil upon it. The more Hauser gets involved into political corruptions and personal killings, the more the statue shows signs of deformation (like in "The Picture of Dorian Gray"). One day the overburdened statue crumbles - burying the baron under it.
