“Days of Future Now Part 1 of 5”

In Weapon X: Days of Future Now #1, set thirty years in the future, Wolverine fights to survive a world overrun by Sentinels—wondering how the dystopian future the X-Men thought they’d averted actually came to pass. Back in the present, former Weapon X director Malcolm Colcord pushes Madison Jeffries to build more Sentinels, while Wolverine, Agent Zero, and Fantomex clash with Colcord’s allies, including John Sublime, whose fate is claimed by the unexpected arrival of Chamber. Written by Frank Tieri and illustrated by Bart Sears, with inks by Mark Pennington, colors by Michael Atiyeh, and letters by Dave Sharpe, the cover by Sears and Pennington captures the tension of a fractured timeline.
