Len is posted to train in America, and starts on bi-planes. His father's ghostly S.E. 5 appears to help him navigate back to base when he gets lost, and the next day re-appears to scare away some alligators when Len and his instructor crash in the Everglades. An early-model helicopter rescues them from the swamp.
