War Heroes #8

War Heroes #8 is an anthology issue containing at least two stories. The first story depicts a soldier named Saul in a trench combat situation, where he is wounded by a grenade that becomes lodged between his body and the trench wall, forcing him to desperately attempt to remove it before it detonates. The second story, "Coast Guard Takes 'Em Through," follows Dean Goranson of the Coast Guard as he pilots Higgins landing barges during an African invasion, launching troops from the boats under heavy enemy fire from French shore batteries at dawn.
