The issue contains two war stories. "The C.O. Nobody Liked" follows Corporal Leeds, an unpopular soldier who leads a dangerous mission to assault a heavily fortified hill with rocket-equipped weapons; though initially doubted by his commanding officer Captain O'Brien, Leeds proves his worth through bravery and tactical skill. "Rat-Tat-Rat-Tat" tells of Sergeant Harkness, a soldier who earned a reputation as a harsh disciplinarian, but after the war ends, his former subordinate Lieutenant Steve encounters him and learns that Harkness's tough methods actually saved lives and deserved respect rather than resentment.
