# Wanted Comics #29 "Hangman's Holiday" follows the eerie tale of Henry Devon, a wealthy man pursued to the edge of doom by his own double. When Henry bribes an usher to access actress Vivian Mare backstage at a theater, he encounters a mysterious gentleman who also seeks her autograph—revealed to be his exact double. After the police arrive at Henry's home following a murder, they discover a dummy in his room and find Henry dead, though he insists he is alive. "He Was Born to Hang," by Mort Lawrence, tells the story of Tommy O'Connor, a career criminal and companion to gangster Mort Lawrence, who chooses crime despite warnings that he was born to hang, ultimately meeting his violent end when law enforcement closes in.
