Wanted Comics #17 is an anthology featuring multiple crime and adventure stories. The main stories include a tale of escaped convict Heber Ayers being pursued after his hideout is discovered, with authorities and criminals closing in on him; a vampire-themed story in which Boris Sacco, whose lost love was killed by a vampire, confronts a bat-like creature and its henchmen in a brutal fight; and "Ring...Three Times," in which a man waits for a call from the gangster Smiley, knowing that three rings of his doorbell will be the signal for his own assassination, as he anticipates his inevitable death at the hands of organized crime.
