Wambi, the jungle boy and friend of animals, confronts a band of hunters who have captured his companion Tawn, a great elephant, and imprisoned him in a cage. When Wambi is also captured and imprisoned alongside Tawn, the hunters plan to punish them both. Meanwhile, a young pygmy elephant separated from its mother wanders through the jungle and encounters various animals including an eagle named Aquillo and a leopard. Wambi and his animal companions must work together to escape their captors and reunite the lost pygmy elephant with its mother before the hunters can harm them.
