# Wambi Jungle Boy #9 The issue contains two main stories. In "Swampland Safari," Wambi and natives encounter a baby hippopotamus being chased by crocodiles; after rescuing it, they discover it belongs to Dan Foster and his daughter Gwen, who were abandoned on an island after hunting the animal. A rogue elephant nearly kills Foster before Wambi arrives to help, and the group must contend with the determined rogue and native threats. In "Quest of the Devil's Juju," Wambi faces off against Crekko, a hostile creature, while dealing with a native council's judgment and conflict over a sacred juju object, with Wambi working to prevent violence and restore peace among the animal and human inhabitants of the jungle.
