Walt Disney's Uncle Scrooge Adventures #9
In "Ill Met by Moonlight," Scrooge McDuck trades his usual whirlwind of wealth for a quiet retreat in the tropical Costa Patata, where he purchases the mysterious, long-abandoned mansion of the reclusive Howard Huge. Once the stronghold of the infamous pirate Don Alcazar De Menudo Y Salsa, the estate hides strange secrets behind an ornate mirror—secrets that stir unease in the usually unflappable duck tycoon. Written by Philippe Le Bars, Dave Angus, and Geoffrey Blum, with art by Daniel Branca and colors by Ken Feduniewicz, this 1988 adventure blends tropical intrigue with a touch of the uncanny. The cover, by Daan Jippes, captures the mood perfectly.
