About this Collection

This issue of Walt Disney's Uncle Scrooge collects classic Donald Duck and Uncle Scrooge comic stories by Carl Barks and other Disney creators, featuring Scrooge McDuck's adventures in search of treasure and his ongoing rivalry with the Beagle Boys. Published by Gemstone as part of their reprint series, it continues the legacy of the beloved duck comics from the 1950s and 1960s.

In "The Horse-Radish Story," Uncle Scrooge faces a peculiar challenge when Chisel McSue claims his ancestor broke a contract to deliver a cargo of horse radish, threatening Scrooge's fortune. With no choice, Scrooge sets out to find the sunken shipment and complete the long-lost delivery. Written, drawn, and inked by Carl Barks, with colors by Susan Daigle-Leach, this 2005 Gemstone issue brings classic Disney charm to a forgotten maritime mystery, all capped by a cover by Daniel Branca.
