Walt Disney's Comics and Stories #512
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeIn "The Success Test," Mickey and Goofy face a tough assignment when mysterious railroad car disappearances land them in hot water with Mr. Boomer, who forces them to search the tracks on foot. While they're busy investigating, the Clinker Brothers take over the engine—unaware they're being used by the cunning Gruggers, who's behind the thefts all along. Written by Carl Fallberg and brought to life with energetic art by Paul Murry, this 1986 adventure blends classic Disney charm with a clever twist. The cover, by Daan Jippes, captures the moment with playful precision.
When the Duckburg Times launches a business success contest, Donald Duck and Gladstone Gander are chosen as the lucky (or unlucky?) contestants. Donald gets stuck with a bottom-dredging mud barge, while Gladstone is handed an old ferry boat rendered useless by a new bridge—both facing uphill battles in the heart of Duckburg’s competitive spirit.
Mickey and Goofy are on a desperate foot patrol along the rails, trying to solve the mystery of the vanished railroad cars, while Mr. Boomer’s frustration grows. With the Clinker Brothers now behind the engine and Gruggers pulling strings from the shadows, every mile they cover brings them closer to a truth that’s as slippery as the tracks themselves.
Uncle Scrooge and Donald Duck both have their hearts set on attending the Duckburg Symphony Orchestra's concert, each devising their own clever (and hilariously flawed) plan to sneak in. While Donald's scheme has a few surprises, Scrooge’s attempt proves far less discreet—much to the orchestra’s quiet dismay.
