The issue features two main stories. In "The Truders," Ken encounters Doctor Silvera, a mad scientist who has imprisoned chimpanzees and plans to transfer Ken's brain into the body of a chimp named Felipe; Ken must escape the cage and rescue the apes, eventually leading them to safety through the jungle and back to Nairobi. In a separate story, Gunee's plan to discredit Vooda involves sending her on a false errand into the jungle, where a stone mistress uses voodoo magic to paint features on a stone statue to give it life, but Vooda ultimately foils the evil scheme and proves her worth to the jungle community.
