Puppet Master places all of Purple Man's followers under his control using their earpieces. Purple Man resists and destroys the devices, but now none of the villains are under his control and chaos erupts. Scourge turns out to be Paladin and helps Misty capture most of the villains, including Purple Man. A flashback reveals Puppet Master came to Misty and Paladin for help against Purple Man In exchange for his help, Misty helps Puppet Master get a good deal with the authorities. As Paladin and Misty share a drink and reflect, Misty kisses him.
