Veronica Lodge has her priorities perfectly clear in this 2001 Archie Comics issue — she's perched in a tree during a torrential flood, leopard-print umbrella in hand and cell phone to her ear, cheerfully telling Betty she's "gotta go" while two neighbors stranded on a rooftop beg her to call 911. "The Big Storm! Part Two" promises more soggy chaos as the neighborhood is submerged around her, and the cover by Dan Parent (pencils) and Bob Smith (inks) captures Veronica's breezy obliviousness with infectious comic timing. If Part One left you wondering how much worse the flooding could get, this issue makes the answer delightfully clear.
