Venom: Along Came a Spider #2

Venom looms enormous on this February 1996 cover, his massive symbiote face filling the frame — rows of razor-sharp teeth bared wide, neon-yellow tendrils of alien matter writhing around him as a shredded red spider-web pattern tears apart in the foreground. Cover pencils by Joe St. Pierre and inks by Chris Ivy give the image a visceral, in-your-face energy that makes it hard to look away. The second chapter of Along Came a Spider continues the symbiote's story, with the interior brought to life by the creative team of Evan Skolnick, Patrick Zircher, Greg Adams, and Tom Smith.
