Vampirella #8

Dynamite's 2011 run of Vampirella hits its eighth issue with a cover by Jelena Kevic-Djurdjevic that places the dark-haired heroine front and center — crouching in her signature red costume with gold cuffs, poised with coiled intensity above what appears to be a crumbling, smoke-hazed cityscape. The moody amber sky and shadowy figures in the background give the scene a wonderfully ominous atmosphere that suits Vampirella perfectly. Inside, writer Eric Trautmann and artist Fabiano Neves continue their acclaimed collaboration on one of comics' most enduring supernatural heroines.
