Vampirella strides forward with quiet, unsettling confidence in this fourth issue from Dynamite, her red dress catching the light while a massive, glowing-eyed demonic presence looms in the smoke above her — a contrast that perfectly captures the series' blend of beauty and menace. Dark tendrils frame the scene like a curtain being drawn back on something dangerous, and Philip Tan's cover art gives the whole image a dreamlike, atmospheric glow that feels genuinely cinematic. With Paul Cornell and Jimmy Broxton steering the story, this 2017 series clearly has a lot of compelling territory left to explore.
