Vampirella #14

Lucio Parrillo's painted cover for this 2020 Dynamite issue is a hauntingly atmospheric piece — Vampirella reclines in her signature red costume and black boots, eyes closed, arm outstretched, while massive ghostly skulls loom and swirl through the murky violet mist behind her. There's an eerie serenity to the image that suits the arc's concluding chapter, "Seduction of the Innocent Conclusion: Begotten," written by Christopher Priest with art throughout by Ergün Gündüz. A moody, beautifully rendered installment for any fan of horror comics done with genuine craft.
