Warren Magazine's Vampirella #101 (December 1981) puts our heroine in immediate peril on a striking cover by Noly Panaligan — Vampirella, dagger in hand, is seized upside-down in the tentacles of a massive, many-eyed creature that arrived "upon a flaming meteor," its coiling limbs dwarfing the tiny figures visible in the background.
