Irene had been unable to choose between George and Frank. Then, as they were all in the reptile house at the zoo, a snake was loose and had George cornered. Frank risks his own life to capture the snake and is bitten in the process. He is rushed by ambulance to the emergency ward at Oxbridge Hospital. As George and Irene sit in the waiting room, she admits she loves him, not Frank. They wonder how they can break it to Frank, but when they are allowed to see him, Frank as already guessed by the expression on their faces and only expects to be the best man at their wedding.
