A car swerves to miss Vicki, but the driver is badly injured and can't see. Vicki feels guilty, especially after she finds out that the man's girlfriend can't stand hospitals and won't come. So Vicky pretends to be Marie as she visits him every night, sacrificing the singing engagement arranged by her agent.
