“Good Times”

In "Good Times," a lonely Katy stumbles upon a weary Father Christmas in a London department store, his spirit as frayed as his red suit. When he confesses he can’t afford to lose his job, Katy impulsively offers to take his place—leading to an unexpected descent into the store’s hidden Christmas party. Juan Solé Puyal’s expressive art brings the moment to life, capturing the quiet magic of a moment that’s equal parts whimsy and melancholy.

Alone in London with no friends or relatives, Katy wanders into one of the big stores and sees a Father Christmas who looks like he is ready to drop dead. He tells Katy he would like to rest, but he hasn't had a job in a long time and is afraid of getting the sack. Katy volunteers to take his place while he goes to get something to eat. She is quickly discovered, but not by the floor manager, but by the junior partner who takes her down to the basement for the store Christmas party.
