“Walk Hand in Hand”

In "Walk Hand in Hand," Jane and Peter prepare to move into their first home, planning a Christmas Day wedding, only to find their dream interrupted by a family in desperate need of shelter. When they return to their new place, they discover the homeless family had taken refuge inside, having braved the cold to save a baby left exposed in the open window. The moment is tender and quietly powerful, with Julio Vivas’ expressive art capturing the emotional weight of a choice made in kindness.

Jane thought that she and Peter would never find a place of their own to live. When they finally find a place, they decide to get married on Christmas Day and move in that day. At the hotel where Jane works, a family is desperately trying to find a place to spend the night, but there is no room there. Before going to a party that night, they go to check out their future home to discover that the homeless family had seen the open window and entered to get the baby out of the cold. Jane realizes that they need the house more than she and Peter do.
