On doctor's order, Iris goes to Cornwall to spend a week with her aunt and uncle, who works for the coastguard, looking out for smugglers. Iris goes into town one day and becomes the good luck mascot for Dennis, who wins a small jackpot in the penny arcade. That night Iris is walking along the coast when she spots Dennis with a grounded boat and learns he is involved in smuggling.
