On the last day of her holiday, Tina meets Larry at the beach and has a wonderful afternoon with him. When she gets back, her friend tries to warn her that holiday romances never work out. Elsie reminds Tina about the boys they met the previous year who promised to write, but never did. Elsie points out that Tina had not been wearing her glasses and Larry probably didn't know she couldn't see across the room without them. Calculating carefully, Tina decides to wear her glasses to the dance that night, but when Larry sees her he doesn't care that she wears glasses.
